Landscape Architect / Horticulturalist / Designer

Golightly Landscape Architecture (GLA) is a Birmingham, Alabama based firm with a focus in Residential Landscape Architecture/ Garden Design. We are looking for a talented individual with a passion for building incredible gardens for the residential client to assist with drawing production and project management through all phases of design and construction.

The ideal candidate:

• 3+ years experience in Landscape Architecture/ horticulture or related field

• Experience with Project Management from Master Planning through Construction

• Strong graphic skills by hand and by computer

• Strong plant/ horticulture background is a bonus but not required. But a desire to deepen plant base knowledge is a must

Role:

• Assist with all phases of document production- MP/DD/CD/AB

• Project Management with the ability to problem-solve and effectively communicate proposed resolutions through graphic, written, and verbal skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture or related field

• Extensive experience with AutoCAD, our primary Construction Document production software

• Competent with Sketchup and Photoshop
